Marabino was established in 2002 and today the estate covers 29 hectares of vineyards. It is located in Contrada Buonivini in the territory of Noto, in South-Eastern Sicily. The name Marabino means "land of the beloved sun".

In the heart of the Val di Noto, in Contrada Buonivini, in an area where Baroque meets the sun, the wind and the great winemaking tradition of South-Eastern Sicily, Marabino was born, a reality producing wines rooted in tradition using the most typical varieties of this land, especially Nero d’Avola and Moscato Bianco.

The twenty-nine hectares of vineyards lie on low hills just a few kilometres from the sea. The plots benefit from excellent exposure and a very mild microclimate which in summer is characterised by both warmth and light, with its sky always clear and bright; indeed, this is one of the sunniest areas in Europe. Here the soils are predominantly calcareous and clayey, marked by particular pedological variations with colours ranging from chalky white to clayey black, with a good supply of mineral elements. The altitude varies from 30 to 80 metres.

At Marabino, orchards, olive groves and vineyards are cultivated entirely organically with a biodynamic approach, naturally without purchasing grapes or wine from third parties.
Harvesting is always manual and at full ripeness, the musts ferment spontaneously with indigenous yeasts without any use of products or additives at any stage of vinification, to produce wines that are pure expressions of the territory where they are born. What lives needs what is alive! Indeed, biodynamic agriculture is an attempt to follow nature through tools generated by the life processes of nature itself. The vine is thus able to be in perfect balance with its ecosystem and can reciprocate with its magnificent fruits the expression of a unique territory.
