Battimare DOC Sicilia Bianco Losi Vigne Migranti
Sicilian wine embodying the essence of tradition, made from Pinot Bianco and Carricante. The calcareous soil gives the wine a balanced structure and distinctive minerality. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures, preserving the freshness and aromatic qualities of the grapes.
The wine then matures on fine lees, a process that enriches the flavour profile with complex notes and a velvety texture. It rests in the bottle, developing greater harmony and depth.
On the palate, it presents an elegant and refined bouquet, characterised by hints of white fruit, citrus, and floral notes. Its lively and well-balanced acidity makes it an ideal companion for a variety of culinary pairings. This wine represents a sensory journey through Sicily, an experience that combines tradition and innovation, passion and respect for the land.

The "Losi - Vigne Migranti" project stems from the passion linked to the family roots of the three Landa brothers, Leonardo and Luca, passed down from their father Dr Luigi, originally from Tuscany's Val d'Arno but adopted by Sicily. As children, they took part in the grape harvests and the seasonal work of the vineyards, developing over the years a great passion for viticulture that turned into a reality. The founder Luigi Losi began about 30 years ago, planting Sangiovese as the Tuscan-origin grape and Nero d'Avola as the native Sicilian variety. The first vineyards, Sangiovese and Nero d'Avola, are located in Pozzallo, 500 metres from the sea. The second site, dedicated to Nero d'Avola, Pinot Bianco and Carricante, is in Contrada Sichilli, near Noto. The third site, planted with Nero d'Avola, Syrah, Grillo and Vermentino, is in Contrada Buonivini, also in the Noto area. The brand symbolises a hybrid form halfway between the 'buchetta' typical of popular Tuscan winemaking tradition and the classic shapes of Sicilian sacred architecture. This is because the winery was born as the idea and passion of a visionary man in Tuscany, transplanted to Sicily, between Noto and Marzamemi, and passed down to his children.
