The story of "Palmeri" begins with the Lutri family. Since the 15th century, this noble family has left its mark in southern Sicily.
In 2002, Erika and Ueli Breitschmid-Heiniger were able to acquire Palmeri. They naturally continued the family tradition of organic viticulture, already successfully practiced in Switzerland.
Therefore, in 2005, the first vines were planted on 4.5 hectares of land. In the same year, restoration began on some minor estate buildings and the construction of the new winery.
Since 2009, wine has been produced at the Palmeri Estate. However, olives, oranges, almonds, lemons, and pomegranates continue to grow on the property and are harvested in small quantities each year.
