this year our 2025 Christmas catalogue, titled "Pachino and its treasure", becomes a journey into the heart of our land.
Every Christmas we present our territory and its typical products, elements that have always represented the added value of our food culture, so the time has come to introduce the protagonist of our land: the tomato.

The reason for our choice lies in the unconditional love for our land, a love that for us is comparable to the love for one's children. To love your land unconditionally means to stay and fight, remaining tied to values and landscapes that have always characterised our thinking: We cannot change the past, but we can influence the future.

The "treasure" of Pachino that we celebrate has its roots in its agricultural history. After a century of an economy based on must for French wines, between the 1960s and 70s, there was a rapid agricultural conversion: from vineyards to tomato cultivation. Farmers radically transformed the landscape by installing greenhouses for protected cultivation. It is here that the tomato grows so good and tasty that it earned the IGP mark in 2002.

The Datterino tomato is a cluster cherry tomato, characterised by an elongated shape similar to a date, known for its very high sugar content and very sweet, fruity flavour. Perfect for preparing sauces that do not require added sugar, to enrich risottos or as a condiment for fish dishes. Also excellent raw in salads.
