The company's story began back in 1931, when the young Gaetano Adelfio, arriving from Palermo to Marzamemi, decided to settle in this small fishing village.

The factory was established in those years during the Sicilian bluefin tuna fishing season, where tuna caught by traditional mattanza fishing was then salted. Alongside tuna, sardines and anchovies were also caught and salted.

Since then, the company has continued to offer the old flavours of the past, believing in an inseparable bond between culture, history, taste, tradition, and memory.
