Etna Rosso with aromas of morello cherry and plum, welcoming notes of violet and wild rose. Drapes of mint and eucalyptus embrace hints of blackcurrant leaf and flint, followed by carob, black pepper, cocoa, and liquorice. Light touches of cinchona and rhubarb. Smooth on the palate, freshness and savouriness balanced with a velvety tannic structure. Excellent paired with meat and cheese.

The winegrower Cusumano operates across four estates, each with distinctive soil characteristics:

The Tenuta Ficuzza, located in Piana degli Albanesi (PA), consists of vineyards surrounded by the Ficuzza forest at 700 metres above sea level. It is the first estate of the new era. Here grow Insolia, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir;

The Tenuta San Giacomo, at 400m above sea level, dedicated to Nero d'Avola. Here, a strong temperature variation between day and night ensures the grapes retain high acidity;

The Tenuta Presti e Pegni, situated in Monreale on hills where the vineyards are exposed to sunlight from dawn to dusk. As the air cools, the sea breeze arrives from about 10 km away, dissipating the heat. This is home to international grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and also Sicily's Syrah.

The Tenuta Monte Pietroso, locally known as Tramontana. A special setting for Grillo. Here the soil is sandy loam, a loose soil identified as ideal for cultivating this grape variety, which in this estate manages to express natural freshness and savouriness that enhance its character, elegance, and ageing potential.
