The Meyer Lemon is named after Frank N. Meyer who discovered it in the countryside near Beijing in 1908.

This particular lemon is probably a natural hybrid between the lemon and the orange.

The fruits resemble those of the lemon but are less sour and very juicy.

Its culinary uses are varied. It can be used for juices as well as for making desserts, such as Lemon Gelo.
