The sugar cane selected by Verdurazon.it is naturally grown in the countryside around Noto by our dear friend Salvatore Cultrera.
Sugar cane has many uses in the kitchen.
It is necessary to extract the fibrous inner part of the sugar cane and, through crushing/pressing, the internal juice can be obtained.
Once the juice is filtered with a kitchen cloth, it can be used as a natural sweetener.
If the juice is dried, it crystallises and thus brown sugar is obtained.
