The artisans of Bottega di Athena recreate the traditional grandmother's soap, combining knowledge of modern methods with the ancient and irreplaceable principles of tradition, to produce a product that is different yet retains the qualities of naturalness and simplicity.

The workshop recalls that place where, in the past, people could meet and converse in an almost familiar way; that place called a putia which has now disappeared and is almost forgotten.

Bottega di Athena uses the cold process method for soap production, which requires working temperatures below 50 degrees Celsius, preserving the composition of the oil. This keeps the soap particularly soft, emollient, moisturising, and rich in glycerine, a natural substance beneficial for the skin as it gently cleanses.

The soap bar, made with the same passion as the grandmothers of old and carefully cut by the simple hands of the artisan, becomes a piece of our tradition that recalls those simple gestures of the past from which we can never cease to draw inspiration.
