The Euthynnus Alletteratus lives in the Mediterranean Sea.

This species of tuna, commonly known as “Alletteratus Tuna”, is widespread in the Mediterranean Sea where it is also common in Italian coastal waters, reaching up to 1 m in length and 6 to 7 kg in weight.

It is a tuna with an intense and full-bodied flavour.

Excellent served as a starter or side dish, or added to the well-known "carrettiera" spaghetti.

The company's story began back in 1931, when the young Gaetano Adelfio, arriving from Palermo to Marzamemi, decided to settle in this small fishing village.
The factory was established in those years, during the fishing of Sicilian bluefin tuna, which, caught through the mattanza, was then salted. Along with tuna, sardines and anchovies were also caught and salted.
Since then, the company has continued to offer the old flavours of the past, believing in an unbreakable link between culture, history, taste, tradition, and memory.
