Ciomod is a Sicilian company founded in 2003 in Modica by Innocenzo Pluchino, specialising in the artisanal production of Modica IGP chocolate and liqueurs. Its philosophy is based on three pillars: quality, innovation, and sustainability. Ciomod chocolate is made following the ancient Aztec recipe, without conching, to preserve its characteristic grainy texture. The cocoa beans come from a cooperative project in Colombia, where cocaine plantations have been replaced by cocoa cultivation, offering local communities a sustainable and legal alternative. In addition to chocolate production, Ciomod offers a range of artisanal liqueurs including chocolate, pistachio, almond, fennel, cinnamon, and lemon, all carefully packaged with attention to design and quality. The company’s headquarters, CasaCiomod, is an ancient noble villa serving as a teaching laboratory and experiential centre.
