More commonly known as "Paceco", the Cartucciaru is the native melon of Sicily. Indeed, its Sicilian origins date back to ancient times...

Very sweet flesh and intense yellow colour are the main characteristics of the "Paceco", which reaches a weight of 2 to 3 kg.

With an intense yellow colour, the Cartucciaru is mainly grown in Paceco, in the Province of Trapani, although its cultivation is now widespread throughout Sicily, including Pachino, the home of the Cherry Tomato.

Verdurazon has also selected the Cartucciaru Melon cultivated by the dear childhood friend "Gianluca Morana" of the homonymous Azienda Agricola Morana, with lands between Pachino and Portopalo di Capopassero.
